Unfortunately I left my digital camera at home so I’ll have to wait until Amy Tisinger can get me some photos, but we had a nice representation at the New Market Fourth of July Parade at 4 p.m.
RWSC President Maud Shell, her three girls, Amy Tisinger, Delegate Todd Gilbert, Senator Mark Obenshain and Congressman Bob Goodlatte joined us as we walked downtown New Market. Despite a massive downpour just about an hour before, there was a pretty good showing amongst the locals. It was great to see the great pride of this typical American community.
Parades are always a great chance to get some visibility, but its unfortunate that two communities had to cancel their parades this year. However, there’s still plenty of work to do elsewhere; make sure to mark this Wednesday for our Phone Bank at United County Real Estate in Mount Jackson at 6 p.m. If you can’t make it out, be sure to contact me at (540) 436-3530 to get some lists that you can work on from home.
